Kelly Robertson is an interior designer born in Santa Barbara California. Her passion for design was present from a young age leading her to pursue and complete a Bachelors of Science and Associates of Fine Arts in Interior Design by 2015. In 2022 Robertson founded and became owner of Jean & Co. where she continues to explore, master, and nurture her passion for both private residential and commercial design. Robertson looks to act as a creative agent and voice in designing what ‘home’ is for you.
To design a home is to consider the history of where someone has found comfort, joy and relaxation.
Tip toeing on the warm terra-cotta tiles in Santa Barbara was just one of my childhood memories. Running away with my husband to our Spanish Colonial paradise in Montecito with the crackling mediterranean fireplace on our honeymoon is another. I always wanted to be like my dad who was an Architect that seemed to have his hand in every other building at his partner firm downtown Santa Barbara. Every shop was in walking distance, even the church that my parents were married in was right down the road. State Street shopping, eucalyptus trees and the fresh smell of lilies and gardenias are now the little things that I look forward to when I visit home. But the outrageous architecture and its pure dedication to Spanish Revival history is what gives Santa Barbara not only its charm but a place that I will always remember as my home.
